I know Marni is emailing everyone to keep them informed on the happenings. If there is any different news and this is the easiest way to get it out there, then I will post it here on the blog. For now, here is the latest info from Marni.....

Well, it's official! the foot is no longer with us! Surgery was over yesterday at 13:14 pm and from then on is all new for Ty. He went thru surgery very well, the doctor said it was as good as he could get, very healthy tissue, very healthy bone, everything was well. He took extra long to wake up in recovery, which was okay, and then was very alert when he got back to the room. He had a hard time with pain for the first 3 or 4 hours, but it is now under control and he is pretty relaxed. Rehab systems ( the prosthetic people) has been by to check on him twice. Last night his cast got too tight and they did a procedure to loosen it without taking it off which made a huge difference. We will be switching to a different pain medication for when he comes home that will make it easier to get off the pain patch that he is on now which is also very good. He hasn't had any feelings of loss at this point and he is proud of himself for that, helps him toknow that he still did the right thing and that his foot really did have to go. It may hit at some point, but for now he is strong and positive. Thank you all so much for your prayers and support, it means alot to Ty and me to know that so many people call us friends and have love in their hearts for us and our family. :) Marni
